There’s this craze out there called graffiti knitting which is street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn on things like trees, street signs, parking meters and even car antennas.
We're looking for crafters interested in helping us decorate our communities as a show of thanks for the support they have given us over the last 9 years. IT'S A WIN-WIN, fun for the community and raises awareness for Womenade.
2014’s project is to create installations for all the 6 town libraries in our SAU. Each library has picked a children’s book as it’s inspiration and we knitters and crocheters are taking it from there.
Kids can pick up a ‘tag’it PASSPORT at any of the participating libraries beginning April 1st.
Get it stamped and dated each time you visit one of the library's Knit
Graffiti installations and again when you’ve had a chance to read the
books that inspired us.
2014's 'tag'it graffiti knitting is beingbrought to you by …
